Bowls in different materials: which should you choose?

• Plastic bowls an evergreen in the home. It can withstand both the microwave and the freezer, and then it can typically be dropped without breaking. All our plastic bowls are BPA-free, and several of them have a lifetime guarantee or are made from biodegradable plastic.
• Melamine bowls are like plastic bowls too, but the material feels lighter and a bit sturdier than regular plastic. Like plastic, melamine can go in the dishwasher and is shatterproof, but it cannot be recycled. A more sustainable choice of tableware for your child is therefore products made from plastic or silicone.
• Silicone bowls are soft and have the clear advantage that they are pleasant to touch for your small child. A silicone bowl also does not make a sound if it smokes on the floor or is knocked on with a spoon. Like plastic bowls and melamine bowls, it can withstand going in the dishwasher. We have several foldable models that can be an advantage both in everyday life and in the picnic basket on Sunday.
