Cocoon Company care instructions

If you need to wash your Cocoon kapok product, you must follow the instructions below carefully.

• Wash your kapok product only at 40 degrees, to protect the kapok fibers.
• Wash only at 60 degrees if it is necessary.
• Choose a short washing program, as it is harmful for Kapok to be wet for too long.
• After washing, choose an extra spin at 1200 rpm to get the most water possible out of the product.
• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes and bleaches, such as Cocoon's soap berries.
• Do not use fabric softener
• After washing, the product must be be dried.

How to dry your Cocoon kapok product

• Dry your kapok product only in the tumble dryer.
• Note , that kapok takes time to dry. We recommend using wool drying balls as they help reduce drying time significantly. They also ensure that the fibers are separated in a gentle way, so that the fibers do not clump together.
• We recommend that you do not use tennis balls, as they can damage the fibers.
• Choose a 30 my. program with medium heat. Check your kapok product every 30 minutes. and repeat the process until the product is slightly damp. Leave your kapok product to dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone. Be careful not to dry your kapok product too long in the tumble dryer as this will reduce the life of your kapok product.

• That you air your product regularly to preserve the fiber structure and to ensure a healthy sleeping environment.
• That you only wash your product if necessary and at 40 degrees and a maximum of 60 degrees. Also on low spin to prevent fiber filtering, but if the problem arises they are easy to pull apart.
• Drying your product in the dryer on medium heat and wool dryer to reduce the drying time and to ensure that the fibers are carefully moved around. Do not use tennis balls as they will damage the fiber.
